A label for companies that informs companies about the opportunities of student/apprentice mobility. A label that provides companies with tools that demonstrate their commitment to high quality in-company learning. A label that supports training centres and organisations involved in learning mobility. EQAMOB is the acronym for European Quality Assurance for in-company learning mobility for apprentices. Members within in the EuroApprenticeship network investigated what ways would best support the involvement of companies and intermediate partners in providing high quality in-company learning mobility. The partnership with support from Erasmus+ developed a coherent framework and label that recognises high quality in-company learning. The label found a sustainable pathway in some countries and is used as it was intended.

What problem or issue has the innovative practice aimed to tackle?
There is a difficulty to mobilise/involve companies to participate in sending and receiving mobility learners. The EAS network shares the same challenges with other networks: “quality of host organisations is an essential element and, in some ways a bottleneck of mobility schemes. Establishing a network of such organisations may contribute to boosting the potential of transnational work-based learning”. The first generation of the EAS “label” was to promote companies focused explicitly on the engagement of companies. With EQAMOB further steps are taken to address at the same time measures to improve the coordination between all actors. Follow IÐAN mobility experiences on FB.
